URWERK turns 25

URWERK is first and foremost a human adventure, that of Felix Baumgartner and Martin Frei. As the marque celebrates its 25^th anniversary, Felix and Martin recount their first steps into the world of fine watchmaking. Aficionados were invited to discover URWERK via their travelling exhibition “Every moment counts”, which had its first stop on June 7, 2022 in Milano Great Masters of Time; and June 8, 2022 in Monaco – Art in Time. URWERK began its journey in April 1997 at an AHCI booth at Baselworld, sponsored into the AHCI by Sven Andersen, the co-founder of the Academy. URWERK presented just two of their UR-102 watches in steel as they couldn’t afford to buy gold cases.
