Valentine’s Day offerings from Chopard

Through its creativity, the Maison Chopard, the quintessential artisan of emotions, infuses the act of giving with its noblest meaning: the gifts made to those we love become bonds conveying deep feelings and shared values. The marque’s offerings for Valentine’s Day include new additions to the Happy Hearts, Happy Diamonds, high jewellery and high watchmaking lines

Valentine’s Day offers the watchmaker-jeweller an opportunity to demonstrate the full extent of its creative genius and to be a partner to the most beautiful declarations. For a wife, a fiancé, a dear friend or indeed anyone who is an object of affection, this uniquely special day gives everyone a chance to express the sincerity of their feelings.

Happy Hearts

Mischievous and generous, Happy Hearts jewellery perpetually reinvents itself through a multitude of variations and colours, in step with the seasons and women’s desires. Chopard’s boundless creativity has now given rise to new short necklaces joining the collection, featuring a coloured heart in onyx, mother-of-pearl, malachite or red stone, adorned on either side with two hearts bearing a dancing diamond. Likewise, the bangle bracelet, that most iconic expression of Happy Hearts, appears in an even more precious version. In addition to its large mother-of-pearl or diamond heart performing a graceful pas de deux with a smaller heart gently framing the impulsive twirls of a dancing diamond, the bracelet is adorned for the first time with a dainty lateral diamond setting.

After a first watch presented in 2019, the Happy Hearts collection once again welcomes a new timepiece allowing hearts to dance around its dial in complete freedom. At the heart of its 30-millimeter steel and 18-carat rose gold case, the delightful mother-of-pearl dial provides a perfect setting for the ballet performed by a dancing diamond and two dancing hearts: one in 18-carat rose gold and mother-of-pearl, and the other in diamond-set 18-carat white gold.

Happy Diamonds Icons

Like an alchemist, Chopard has the ability to fashion the shape of the heart to create its most accomplished, perfect and proportionate version for the Happy Diamonds Icons. The heart reveals all the emotion of the maison, which pays multiple tributes to those who are unafraid to reveal their feelings and express their love. With Happy Diamonds Icons, a great jewellery classic invites itself into women’s lives. Whirling between two sapphire crystals, one or three dancing diamonds bring sparkling life to a new series of short necklaces in 18-carat white or rose gold, either polished or set with diamonds, completing the collection. They symbolise the impulses of the heart as well as every move of the women who wear them like precious talismans.

L’Heure du Diamant

With the L’Heure du Diamant watch collection, the artisans of the maison have orchestrated an encounter between jewellery and watches. Infused with a delightful 1970s spirit, these diamond bedecked timepieces sparkling with timeless charm are all about light and airy proportions. Previously introduced in round or oval versions, L’Heure du Diamant watches now appear with a case shaped like a vibrant heart, of which the steady beat is evoked by the hand-engraved guilloché motif gracing the mother-of-pearl dial. Two versions, in 18-carat rose or white gold, are paired with a gold link bracelet and a white mother-of-pearl dial. Two others are teamed with a blue or burgundy leather strap and feature a mother-of-pearl dial in matching shades.

L.U.C XPS Twist QF

While haute horlogerie traditions are generally about symmetry, an aesthetic order to which the eye responds instinctively, the L.U.C XPS Twist QF timepiece chooses to express itself in a different vein. It has fun by introducing a slightly offset crown and off-centred small seconds display at 7 o’clock – a signature feature of the Twist series within the L.U.C. collection. Crafted in ethical ‘Fairmined’ certified 18-carat white gold and issued in a 250-piece limited series, it opts for carefully controlled eccentricity and elegant asymmetry beating to the rhythm of the L.U.C 96.26-L movement with automatic winding, equipped with a 22-carat gold micro rotor and two stacked barrels – based on Chopard Twin technology.  While fulfilling the criteria of several certification programmes particularly cherished by Chopard, the L.U.C XPS Twist QF timepiece features a wide range of elegant features. Fleurier Quality Foundation certification, chronometer certification, Chopard Twin technology with two barrels, a case in ethical ‘Fairmined’ certified gold: it goes well beyond aesthetic prowess to offer superlative craftsmanship. A slim fit on the wrist, rich textures, production quality and a resolutely ethical dimension: nothing is missing from the picture, including a hint of extravagance.

L.U.C Chrono One Flyback

With its chic subtle grey nuances, the L.U.C Chrono One Flyback timepiece is imbued with the relaxed, contemporary and controlled elegance that is the unique signature of L.U.C. creations. Issued in a 250-piece steel limited edition, it is equipped with a chronometer-certified calibre, designed and assembled within Chopard Manufacture. The L.U.C 03.03-L movement, with a running time of 60 hours, is of the flyback type, enabling this model to measure short times smoothly and easily, since this function serves to reset the counters to zero and restart at a single press. The calibre is also equipped with a stop seconds device enabling highly accurate time setting. Finally, it is equipped with a 22-carat gold open-worked rotor. Four patents have been duly registered and approved for these technologies developed by Chopard’s research and development teams.

Haute Joaillerie

In her sketchbooks, Caroline Scheufele, the inspiration behind Chopard Haute Joaillerie, dreamed of highlighting rubies. Firstly, through an imposing necklace composed of no less than 23 Mozambican rubies and diamonds set in ethical ‘Fairmined’ certified gold – a rare form of artisanal gold, the responsible mining of which is actively supported by Chopard. Secondly, through a ring that the maison’s artistic direction has chosen in order to showcase a beautiful 5-carat ruby in the much-coveted pigeon’s blood colour. Carved in the shape of a heart, the stone appears to throb to the rhythm of the passion that drives the deepest feelings. An ode to rubies, masterfully composed by the expertise and virtuosity deployed in the Chopard haute joaillerie ateliers.
