Zenith x Dubai Watch Club unveil exclusive Chronomaster edition

At Kai Enzo’s terrace overlooking the spectacular Dubai skyline, Zenith CEO Julien Tornare and the United Arab Emirates’ first-ever watch collector group, Dubai Watch Club, came together to unveil a special rendition of its Chronomaster Revival – limited to 69 pieces and exclusively available to the club’s members

Based on the A384, the Chronomaster Revival Dubai Watch Club edition features a matte titanium case with a racing-inspired yellow dial and, for the first time ever, Eastern Arabic numerals for the counters, tachymeter scale and even the date wheel.

Originating from a modest assembly of just 10 watch enthusiasts in the summer of 2014, Dubai Watch Club has burgeoned into one of the pre-eminent watch communities in the region. With over 100 members, Dubai Watch Club welcomes watch enthusiasts from all walks of life who share the same passion for watchmaking and seek to share, learn, and experience the art of horology together. One of Dubai Watch Club’s most visible elements has been its pioneering collaborations with luxury watchmakers – much to the envy of non-members. And for the club’s first sporty watch and first chronograph watch collaboration, they chose Zenith.

The Chronomaster Revival Dubai Watch Club edition is a distinctive creation that imbues one of the most iconic El Primero references with a local Emirati touch. Based on the A384, a chronograph that made history as Zenith’s first-ever El Primero chronograph in steel at the time of its unveiling in 1969, the club appreciated its retro barrel-shaped case as well as its compact proportions. Taking a page from the Chronomaster Revival Shadow that debuted in 2020, the Dubai Watch Club edition is crafted in an entirely matte-finished microblasted titanium case, which they chose for its lightness and decidedly muted dark grey tone.

The dial is where the Chronomaster Revival Dubai Watch Club edition truly stands out. With the desire to create a sporty edition and to perfectly contrast against the dark titanium case, it was decided to apply a bright and vivid colour to the dial. Dubai Watch Club chose a warm yellow tone that evokes a speedy, sporty spirit, with contrasting grey counters matching the case. For the first time on a Zenith dial, all the numerals in the chronograph counters, the tachymeter scale and even the date wheel, which has been colour-matched to the dial, are in Eastern Arabic. A black cordura-effect rubber strap with yellow stiches completes the unique look.

The Chronomaster Revival Dubai Watch Club edition is limited to 69 pieces and available exclusively to the club’s members.
